This ensemble is for singers aged 11-18 (years 7-13) who wish to develop advanced singing and musicianship skills, looking at vocal technique, performing as professionals and as a group. The students engage in warmups and ensemble activities, learning songs that will challenge their vocal ability, and developing skills of singing in unison – 4-part harmony.
There are also multiple opportunities for singers to develop their skills as soloists and leaders. The choir prepare towards a performance at the end of each term, and take part in special performances in notable venues, such as London Jazz Festival. In June 2027, the singers will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall as part of our ‘A Musical Rebellion event’.
There is an expectation that ALL pupils attend EVERY rehearsal.
