Doing Music Safely

It is important that we keep our pupils and staff safe. This page has details about the ways we have reduced risk and what we are asking all of our schools, pupils, families and staff to read and understand. Thank you for your help with all of us doing music safely.

1. TBMH Covid-19 Procedures for Music Classes (2021-22): This tells families about how classes will operate safely

For  Schools 

1. Risk-Assessment for TBMH (2021-22): This is the already existing RA about in-school working. Teaching within educational establishments across 3 Local Authorities from September2021 onwards. For Tri-borough Music Hub (TBMH) staff to return to work safely taking into account the DfE Guidance (HERE) around teaching Music in school settings; and the DCMS Guidance (HERE) about working safely during Coronavirus. This will be useful for schools, and contains sub-sections:

  Music Mark has worked alongside independent Music Education consultant Gary Griffiths to compile COVID-19 related guidance. We have reviewed academic studies, and consulted our Members, the Music Teachers’ Association, the Music Industries Association, the Incorporated Society of Musicians and the Musicians’ Union, as well as individual sector experts, headteachers and teachers. 3. Return to work guidance – TBMH Staff: This is a joint TBMH-Lyric document that summarises key points about the TBMH team  returning to in-person working

4. Generic Risk Assessment for External Events TBMH Activity 2021: This is an updated RA for us to use when producing an external rehearsal/performance event
