When: Wednesdays 4:15-5:00pm

Venue: The Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith

School Years: Pupils must be in school years 5-8 to attend this course

Cost: £55 per term*

*50% remissions for eligible families (pupil premium) or 25% sibling discount

Who can take part?: anyone school years 5-8, who live or go to school within the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster

Number of places available: 20

Places will be filled on a first come first served basis.

Main objectives

The main objective of this course is to learn how to confidently and efficiently use GarageBand for the IMac to create beats and compositions, and how to mix and balance the different instrumental elements into a final product

What will you learn?

You will learn how to create music from different genres (Rap, Grime, Drill, Rock/Pop) using GarageBand's Apple Loops library, various synthesizers, drum machines, and plugins.

What will you do?

You will have access to a MacBook Air and a copy of GarageBand, each week you will take part in an interactive lesson where you will be given step by step demonstrations from your teacher. You will be given free time to practise and apply new skills to your own compositions, and you will receive regular guidance and feedback on your work
