About the course: The course is built around a collection of playful activities, songs and rhymes that can all be used to develop and nurture children’s singing skills. Participants will explore the value and power of singing and work through a range of strategies to support children at a variety of developmental levels. This course will be delivered by Katie Neilson from The Voices Foundation. Katie Neilson has worked with The Voices Foundation for 12 years and is the author of their award-winning Early Years teacher handbook. Katie trained as a general primary teacher but now specialises in music education from 0-11 years. She is currently studying for an MA in Early Childhood Music with the Centre for Research in Early Childhood in Birmingham.
Who is this course for?: This course is suitable for anyone who works with children in their Early Years.
Cost: Professionals connected to, or working with, state-maintained settings/arts organisations within one of three boroughs – Hammersmith & Fulham; Kensington & Chelsea; Westminster: £30
For all other professionals outside of the state-maintained sector in the Tri-borough area: £50
