About the choir

The Young Singers is an auditioned choir for talented children in school years 4-7, run by the Tri-borough Music Hub in partnership with The Bach Choir.

Previous performances have included the Music for Youth Primary Prom at the Royal Albert Hall, several classical concerts with The Bach Choir at the Royal Festival Hall,  and a recording with The BBC Singers and The Bach Choir, also broadcast by BBC Radio 3.

In June 2016, The Young Singers sang with The Bach Choir in a London-themed concert at Central Hall Westminster. The programme included the world premiere of a new choral work by Will Todd, with text by Michael Rosen - London: Lights, Stories, Noise, Dreams, Love and Noodles, songs by Bob Chilcott and two newly-commissioned song arrangements from Sally Greaves.

The Young Singers will be the onstage chorus for the world premiere of Dreams of Freedom in June 2017 at the Royal Albert Hall, as part of an exciting partnership project with Chickenshed Theatre Company and Amnesty International.
