The Tri-borough Music Hub is leading a 2-year workforce development project called Tri-Music Together. The aim of the project is to develop a sustainable network of outstanding Early Years music practice between Early Years settings and a consortium of Tri-borough Music Hub partner organisations to support children's creative and musical entitlement through a range of CPD sessions.
We are offering 2 x FREE ½ day courses for Early Years Teachers/Practitioners
1. Music & Movement in the Early Years
This workshop will give an opportunity to explore and experience the relationship between music and movement. Music and songs can lead us; improve our listening skills, and basic music skills. The session will explore whole body movement appropriate to children’s physical development, their need to explore and experiment within their own and other people’s space, whilst learning to control and co-ordinate movements.
Many of the games that will be explored are based on the principles of Dalcroze, a music educator who lived 100 years ago, teaching and articulating the powerful link between music and movement. You will be able to use and adapt the songs and games in your own settings.
Please come dressed to be free to move!
